Social Media Strategist

Job Description:
  • Develop, design, implement and manage ACJCE’s and RE Coalition’s social media strategies to maximize their audience outreach and engagement
  • Training the media and communication team of ACJCE and RE Coalition to implement and integrate their social media strategies
  • Managing and planning the creation and posting of original, high quality content on social platforms of ACJCE and RE Coalition
  • Ensuring regular postings on the social media platforms of ACJCE and RE Coalition
  • To organize advocacy campaigns, webinars, seminars, consultation involving stakeholders on the sociology-economic feasibility of coal to gas conversion in Thar
  • Liaising with media and communication team of ACJCE and RE Coalition to ensure that their social media posts are of high quality and relevant to their prospective audiences
  • Collaborating with media and communication teams of ACJCE and RE Coalition to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new trends and updates related to climate change and energy transition
  • Preparing regular periodic reports on online traffic attracted by the websites and social media platforms of ACJCE and RE Coalition
  • Designing, planning and running regular social media campaigns around the work being done by ACJCE and RE Coalition
  • Designing and conducting Q&A sessions, live forums and online discussions on social media platforms of ACJCE and RE Coalition
  • Tracking and analyzing SEO and user engagement to provide effective solutions for content optimization
  • Communicating and interacting regularly with researchers, academics, social mobilizers and other coordinators working with the member organizations of ACJCE and RE Coalition
  • Learning and implementing the latest trends and changes in digital technologies and social media sphere
  • Attend internal and external meetings organized by ACJCE and RE Coalition as well as their member organizations.
Qualifications and skills required::
  • Master’s degree in Marketing or a relevant field
  • Excellent knowledge of the working of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • At least three years of proven work experience as a Social Media Strategist or Social Media Manager at middle-sized organizations (with at least 20 employees)
  • Proven experience of using social media for awareness raising and policy advocacy
  • Practical knowledge  of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • The ability to identify the target audience’s preferences and build content to meet those expectations
  • High level of familiarity with social media KPIs
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
