Job Advertisement: Research Lead (Climate Justice) (3–5 Years of Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Devise, develop and supervise research projects
Conduct desk research, data collection & data analysis on themes including climate change, climate justice, environment, sustainability, just energy transition, coal phaseout and renewable energy etc
Conduct field research on themes including climate change, climate justice, environment, sustainability, just energy transition, coal phaseout and renewable energy etc
Write, review and edit research papers, policy briefs, climate monitors, and other related publications of PRIED
Prepare and disseminate climate monitors, and energy monitors as and when needed.
Manage coordination and outreach with PRIED’s existing and potential local, regional and international partners
Conduct training and workshops as and when needed, which may include travel.
Coordinate and collaborate with relevant government departments, civil society organizations, academia, international research organizations, and Pakistan’s development partners on climate adaptation, climate mitigation, climate finance, and climate justice
Collaborate and cooperate with other colleagues in organizing public events such as webinars, seminars, workshops, consultations, study launches etc
Work on any other task/duty assigned by the immediate supervisor and the management.
Qualifications & Skills::
Master’s, MPhil, or PhD (completed) in Environmental Sciences, Climate Change, Public Policy, Development Studies, Energy Studies, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional research experience.
Demonstrated experience in research, policy analysis, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Experience in climate, energy, sustainability, or environmental research will be preferred.
