Syed Muhammad Bin Ahmed is pursuing a doctorate in economics from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. He specializes in Islamic jurisprudence of financial transactions and seeks to develop a deep understanding of Islamic legal and regulatory frameworks in today’s evolving business landscape. He has also done research on education’s societal impact, Covid-19’s economic repercussions and digital disparities between Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Besides working at PRIED, he teaches as a visiting lecturer at the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and is the co-founder of a research institute, Global Center for Legal Thought (GCLT).
