Amina Shahab holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar, and a master’s degree in electrical power engineering from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). She has previously worked with Skyelectric, a private renewable energy company, on li-ion battery fleet analysis, and with Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) as a network noperations engineer. Her research on the electrification of commercial and urban areas through renewable energy was published in a peer-reviewed, open access journal, MDPI. She is also working on the deep decarbonization and net-zero energy performance of existing buildings.
Equipped with extensive skills in energy modelling and forecasting, Amina is deeply interested in power and energy systems modelling, energy efficiency, energy audit and energy management. At PRIED, she is developing a mini-micro-grid model to electrify off-grid areas with renewable energy.
