Hussain Assad Buzdar did his BA Honors in political science from Forman Christian College, Lahore, and his MPhil in anthropology from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He has been working in the development sector since 2018 and is leading PRIED’s initiative for establishing a cross-party parliamentary forum on energy and economy.
His expertise includes news media engagement, networking, and building grassroots alliances. He has strong linkages with journalists who are working on climate change and energy transition across Pakistan. He also facilitates and promotes networking and alliance making between communities and other stakeholders active in climate and energy sectors and is particularly engaged with communities who are facing socio-economic and environmental problems due to coal power generation in Thar region of Sindh.
He is also responsible for organizing webinars/seminars and other events at PRIED and disseminating its knowledge products through its website and social media platforms.
