Haris Sohail holds a master’s degree in Economics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. Before joining PRIED, he did an internship at the State Bank of Pakistan, gaining exposure to macroeconomic policy and financial sector analysis. He also did a fellowship with the World Bank, working on a part of its Pakistan country report. Earlier, as a research assistant at NUST, he conducted over 100 surveys for a field study on socioeconomic vulnerability during crises. His research interests include debt sustainability and energy transition, with a growing focus on data-driven decision-making.”
